We have been extremely fortunate to be patrons of Bob and Julie. Our Golden, "Winston", is now 6 and they have been caretakers for him since 2008. They are a fantastic team and we trust them implicitly. As far as I know, they are one of the only exclusive walkers that 'board' animals in the own home, not to mention they are fully bonded.
We've always found them flexible, dependent, honest and real down to earth. I like the fact that they are quick to respond by email and we feel welcome to check in with Winston while we are away. We even got a video from Bob of him playing with other dogs while we on holiday!
Winston is feisty and still has that 'golden' puppy attitude but he loves going to Bob and Julie's, always returning a tired dog - just the way we like it! It's always a idea good to book early if you know you need their services because they are popular and I think that goes to show you the kind of special business they've built.
We've tried a few places when Bob and Julie were booked up and can tell you with confidence their service is top-notch.

Bob and Julie have taken care of my "brood" (two lovely poodles and two mischievous kitties) for the last three years. They have done everything from pet sitting, dog walking on a regular basis, to house sitting and even giving my oldest kitty her thyroid pills on a daily basis. I travel a lot and have never had to worry about my animal family as I know they are in good hands. Bob and Julie truly love and enjoy caring for animals, which is apparent the first time you meet them. I consider them both a part of my family, as do my pets. Bob and Julie have been caring for my dogs on a regular basis for the past two years. I work long hours, so they provide home visits throughout the day to help keep my dogs happy and healthy. They also provide in-home care for my dogs when I'm away. They have attended to special needs such as medication administration and dietary requirements.

Our golden retriever, Whinni, loves it when Bob arrives to take her out for an all-day adventure. While she loves people that she knows, she is normally reluctant to leave the property without us, but not true for her walks with Bob. Not so much as a 'See ya later'. Bob looked after my two cats over the Christmas period when I flew back to the UK. Arranging care of my cats was straightforward and flexible to suit the needs of myself and my cats, the fact that they could stay in their own home greatly reduced the stress on my cats. During this period Bob encountered an unforeseen issue when a strange cat decided to move into my house but we were able to email each other and resolve the issue. Bob also maintained email contact and kept me updated on my cats and kept me reassured that they were ok. My husband and I have used Bob's Peace of Mind Petcare's twice daily pet visiting service, for our 2 ageing kitties, a number of times since November of 2013 for short and long durations. Bob will be our pet sitter as long as we have the need and he's in business.
Bob clearly loves cats: feeds and waters them, checks up on our place, brings in mail etc. and spends time with them every visit. As most owners of long-haired cats know there will be barf and, as one kitty is particularly nervous and prone to pooing (where you least expect it), I know he has messes and barf to search out and clean up, though I never see evidence of it when we return. When we come back home the "girls" are very happy to have us back in their service and (being cats, we know there will be retribution) they are always sneakily calm and relaxed. We enjoy our trips, confident that Bob is always going to show up, clean up, get to know their quirks, adapt to their ever changing feeding patterns, and get them to a vet if necessary; the next best thing to us being there.

First thing to know is I have an extremely anti social, sometimes, attack cat who is, only with me, a most darling, beloved cat.
A couple of years ago I had to go away for a week on business. I didn't know what I was going to do about said, darling, to me only, cat.
Thought about a kennel/boarding but was very reluctant to go that route for a couple of reasons "attack cat" being one of them, but also the thought of leaving her alone in a strange unfamiliar place for a whole week was really not something I wanted to have to do.
I looked for alternatives on the web, and fortunately found Peace of Mind. A service that would care for my cat in her own home. I gave them a call, and Bob came out to meet me, and my cat. She didn't go on the attack which was good, and after discussion on how to handle different eventualities I left on my trip.
I returned home to find my cat hale, and hearty with no ill effects from my absence, she was very happy to see me, as was I her, but she was obviously not stressed out from the experience.
Since that first time I have been very glad that I have been able to call on the services of Peace of Mind for an additional 4 trips that I have taken.

One day while walking my Standard Schnauzer, Waggit, in Mount Doug, we met her favourite person, Bob Butler. I had to put on her lead in order to get her to leave him so we could continue. After we had nearly completed our circuit taking a different direction, she ran ahead. Soon I was approached by a couple who were concerned about a howling, disconsolate schnauzer, up the trail. "One unhappy pooch," they said. I agreed, but assured them the reason was that her dog walker had left the park!
Waggit has also boarded while we have been on holiday and she always returns, a happy pooch who has clearly been well exercised, well fed and totally pampered. If she could talk I am sure she would tell me that it is way better than home.

My wife and I have use this service at least 4 times by our count, and have never been disappointed. From the get-go, Bob is always quick to reply and always tries to coordinate with our busy schedules to arrange for Ling Ling's (our cat) care.
It is such a relief to know that our boy is being taken care of when we are gone on vacation or if I am gone on a sail (RCN).
Bob is highly trustworthy and is a man of integrity. Any time we have e-mailed him for updates on Ling Ling, Bob has taken the time to let us know how he is doing and that our little guy is eating regularly and happy.

Maggie (my BorderCollieX) and I have been so fortunate to find Peace of Mind Pet Care. That is exactly
what it is. Maggie loves going out with Bob and she waits at the door with tail thumping, squeaks and
wiggles as soon as she hears his van stop to pick her up, then off she goes for an exciting adventure hike
or ocean swim and afterwards is returned clean, happy and tired. What more could I want?
From the moment I met with Bob I could sense his love of animals. He took to Maggie and her to him
right away. Most important I felt Bob had the wellbeing of his 'doggy hikers' first and foremost. Maggie
has a complicated medical history and takes six medications twice daily. She has stayed in his home on
several occasions while I was away and she was looked after so well by both Bob and Julie. They are
flexible and reliable in terms of scheduling hikes, picking up and dropping off.
I have complete confidence and trust in Peace of Mind Pet Care. After all, we want the best for our 'best

In April, 3 years ago, I adopted Tally, a 3-year old female wire-haired Dashshund--or did she adopt me!? She quickly bonded with me, fortunately for both of us!!
Being a 'rescue' dog, at first she would become very upset when visitors or workers came to our house -- especially men!! Other dogs she ignored.
During a visit to our vet I asked for a referral to a dog-walking service to get Tally both exercise and used to other dogs and humans. Shortly after my call, Bob Butler, of Peace of Mind Petcare came into our lives. On his first visit, as we sat around the patio, Bob Arrived. Without a word to my niece or myself, Bob got down on his knees and talked to, and petted, my Tally--she was obviously surprised, but smitten!!
After discussion, we agreed to have Peace of Mind -- and Bob -- walk Tally twice a week for an hour each time -- a schedule we contine to the present. It has done wonders for my dog. Whenever Bob's van comes into the driveway the only 'noise' now is from the wagging of Tally's tail against the door. And off they go on another day's adventure -- sometimes to the beach, the ocean, Lake, Trail, woods, etc (where permitted). Tally always comes home tired but happy and thirsty.
Peace of Mind also provides overnite and vacation relief in their own home, as space allows.
Thanks to Peace of Mind and Bob Butler, Tally is a much less intense dog with human visitors -- even males -- and with other dogs. She still 'marches to her own drummer' (I think Bob said that first) but she does enjoy every 'walkies' and the walks help her keep her girlish figure.
I whole-heartedly recommend Peace of Mind Petcare and Bob Butler for their professionalism, reliability and excellent pet services.
